1812 Overture

Hello Guys,

Let’s talk about 1812 Overture written by Tchaikovsky. It is really sounds Russian because this piece was to commoratte Russia’s defense against Napoleon’s invading Grande Armee in 1812. This piece is really popular, and you might hear some parts that are familiar to you. One of the reason why this piece is popular is because of the climatic volley of ringing chimes, brass fanfare finale, AND CANNON FIRE!!!! A  REAL CANNON AN ARTILLERY. This piece is really epic.

La campanella

Hello Guys,

It’s one of my favorites again! Let’s talk about “La campanella” or “little bell” given to the third of Franz Liszt’s six Grandes etudes de Paganini because it is engaging to listen. I like this piece because of the brisk and lively tempo. This etude is hard to play because of the dexterity and accuracy needed. Pianist can use the etude to increase their accuracy. Pieces like this makes me want to learn piano if I have a time :(

Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto

Hello Guys,

Currently listening to the Piano concerto No 1. In B-flat, Op. 23 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It is really epic. The concerto follows the traditional three movements, and each of them is really inspiring. The first movement is really passionate. The second and third movement are virtuosic. Tchaikovsky was also depressed because of early separation with his mother, and many deaths like her mother dying early, the death of his close friend and colleague, and an enduring relationship.

Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto 2

Hello! It’s another one of my favorite piano concerto that I would talk about. It is composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. It is called Piano Concerto no. 2 in C minor, Op. 18. Rachmaninoff was depressed for a long time, and this concerto was a result from his recovery. This concerto was dedicated to Nikolai Dahl, his physician, who restored his confidence. Every time I listen to this concerto, I feel like experiencing and relate from what he went through. All of the movements were really heartbreaking. I feel like the first movement is where his hopes are crushed. The second movement is where everything is going away from, and at the last part of the second movement is where he almost gave up. I think the last movement is where he found hope and recovered because of the triumphant climax.

Piano Concerto No.1 (Chopin)

Hello Folks! I'm going to talk about one of my favorites piano concerto! and express what I feel for every movement. It is a piano concerto made by Chopin! I first heard it from a show and really loved it. The first movement has a long exposition by the orchestra. It’s like preparing you for something. Every time it’s taken over by the piano, I always close my eyes and make myself calm. The second movement is melancholic. This movement makes me think all about my past memories, sad and happy. I feel like remembering every decisions that changed my life. The third movement is fun because I feel like I can relate to it whenever I procrastinate. It’s like when you’re really determined to do something, but at the end, you procrastinate instead. I feel like, it describes me haha.
